Chicken-Hearted

Chicken-Hearted

It's been ages since I sat down to write something. Brave-Hearted, having a brave heart i.e. having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear or difficulty. What is chicken-hearted? It is kind of an antonym of brave-hearted, cowardly; easily frightened. Shouldn't we be talking about being brave then?  People all around the world try to motivate you through quotes, speeches, stories. But most of them try to empower you with positivity. Rarely do people talk about the negative feelings in us. Why not empower with positivity through something that is negative. The universe does attract the opposites, right?

They say all it takes is one person to believe in you. But at times in the phases of life, even though there is more than one person who believes in you, do we have the same belief in ourselves? Some instances in life break our faith in ourselves. We start doubting ourselves. A sense of fear instills. You really judge yourself whether you could achieve what you want to. Starting something in life always makes you think about the negative outcomes more than the positives. Even though there is a 50% probability that you will succeed, you always fear the 50% failure.

But if we look at the broader perspective, constant failures in ventures of life kind of break you. Never give up, have patience, think positive, etc. should always be the motto of life. And many people would suggest you the same. There is always light at the end of the tunnel, how long is the tunnel, no one knows. It is just a phase of life. All we can do is give everything and just keep expecting something good might turn up.

This post is kind of a reflection of me at this point in life. We know what we have to do to overcome it, but we are clouded by the fears that instill us. There must be something in us that makes others believe in us. If you are a fan of reality TV shows, you might have probably heard about the show, America's Got Talent (AGT). I have been watching the latest auditions, and there was this who was 11 years old playing the violin. His story had a sad starting but he found his peace in music. There is something in everybody's life that gives us an inner peace that gives us the strength to fight back. Fight back hard.
