At a Cross Road

Image
At a Cross Road Hello everyone. Another year is coming to an end, another year to look forward to. Time just flew by, as it always does. Everyone would ask at this time what our new year resolution would be? Why not just ask what were the moments you cherished or hated, who were the people you met for the first time and for the last time, what was that you started to like and started to hate and so on. Every day we come across at least one crossroad. But did you ever just sit near a crossroad and observe? You would always see people taking the roads without thinking so much. Because they know the destination, so involuntarily they know which road to take. But did you ever stop at a crossroad not knowing where to go and just waited there to decide? Try doing that in the middle of the day, and people behind you get impatient. They start honking and you are forced to take a road that you might not have intended to take. Was it your choice? Maybe. But you would have had ample time to

Memories

Memories Hello everyone. Thank you once again for staying tuned to my blog. Your views inspire me to write more and more. I am not a frequent traveller. But whenever I travel, my destination is always home. No matter how far you go, how far you live, your home city is always the best. No place is better than your home city. My home city, Hyderabad. I can travel here just to have chai all day. I always wanted to try out the new places that serve different types of tea.  I'm right now in a coffee shop that is called Chit Chat Chai, trying out their different teas. What else can be a good place to spend an afternoon to sit down and put down my thoughts.  When you are alone sipping some chai, sometimes memories run back to you. Maybe the place, maybe the food, maybe the ambience, maybe someone else beside you discussing something, maybe the bus you see outside the window that you used to travel in, all these can get back some sweet memories that your heart cher

Some care for you?

Some care for you? Hello everyone. Thank you once again for an overwhelming response to my last post. I am happy to say that it was the highest viewed post so far. I usually write something when I sit in front of my computer and rarely do I write while travelling except for one post I wrote almost a year ago. I am writing this one though while I’m flying.  Flying maybe routine to many people. For me, it’s more of a marvel that the human mind has created. It is more than sitting for long hours to travel. While I board a flight I observe more than what many people see. A small thought struck my mind when I was looking around today in the flight. I was observing how much attention one pays to the safety instructions given at the start of the flight. It isn’t shocking to see that less than 10% of them pay attention to it. Not that I do not pay attention to it, I always do, I even read the safety card on every flight. How many of us do that every single time? If you have flown at

Broken Boundaries

Image
Broken Boundaries Boundary: A line that marks the limits of an area; a dividing line Countries have boundaries. States have boundaries. Individual homes have boundaries.  Humans? Do we have any boundaries?  Yes. A line that separates us from the rest, is kind of a boundary. The line that our family draws for us is a boundary. A line that the society draws around you is a boundary. Economic status draws a huge boundary around you. Many of these aren't something you can change a lot but, the line one draws around themselves is totally under their control. This boundary one creates can actually change the ones that were once not in your control.  Comfort Zone This is the only boundary we draw around us. Emotionally, mentally and physically. A nation's boundary imparts a feeling of safety for the citizens. Similarly, we create the boundaries where we feel safe. We do not want to get out of the safety of our comfort zone. Is it a bad thing? Not at all. You ar

Rich vs Wealthy

Image
Rich vs Wealthy Hello everyone. I am happy to see that one of my posts has reached 500 views. I feel it as a small achievement. 500 people going through something I wrote encourages me. I hope this same level of appreciation continues.  So, what am I writing about today? Yes. As the title says, RICH vs WEALTHY . I was talking to one of my friends lately and this small topic struck between us. I was thinking about the same and wanted to share it.  According to the Google dictionary, these are the meanings of the two words. Rich  :  having a great deal of money or assets; wealthy. Wealthy  :   having a great deal of money, resources, or assets; rich.   They both are synonymous. But are they? In my opinion having money is being rich. But that need not imply that you are wealthy. What makes you wealthy? Money only plays a small role in deciding it. But immaterial things make you wealthy. Things like relationships, ethics, integrity etc. An abundance of the

I spend a lot!!

I Spend a Lot!! Hello to the people who take out their time to read my blog. Thank you btw for your time. I am happy that the contents of my blog have helped me out a bit. I am now encouraged to write more. Good thing, isn't it? Anyway, coming to this post. I spend a Lot!!!!  People who know a little about me know that I spend on things that actually aren't necessary. Unnecessary stuff like? I am a gadget freak and spend a bit too much on electronic gadgets. I got myself an Xbox which requires a TV to play, so I got one as well. In the past year, I spent like crazy on electronics. I got a cozmo, about which I wrote in an earlier post on this blog.  I got an artificial intelligence racing kit, that uses stuff and is like of a video game in reality. I got a few Bluetooth speakers as well and a projector. Which is completely unnecessary if you think about it. And the list goes on. I have many things that lie around that I do not use often.  And then there is my colle

Depressed? Maybe not!

Image
Depressed? Maybe not! Hello . I am back again with another post. Lately, I was asked by a friend if my writings were intended for others or were they just for myself. This got me thinking, why did I even start writing this blog! Maybe I wanted people to read my thoughts or maybe I just wanted those thoughts out of my mind.  I was thinking about this question I was asked and later I realised what my intentions for this blog were. I want people to read it . Is it wrong? Absolutely not. Then why am I writing? Maybe for a bit of appreciation or maybe to have the sense of not failing at something. It does happen. It does happen with everyone. At some point, everyone wants to win at something. Or if you phrase it differently, everyone does not want to fail at everything.  Let me share a small experience with you. I was really good and interested in athletics till my 8th standard. In my 8th standard, I was down with jaundice and I felt it had drained a lot of stamina fr

Differences

Image
Differences Disclaimer: The differences mentioned in this post are just thoughts and intends no harm to any individual or group of individuals. Hello there. I know it has been more than 3 months since I wrote a post on this blog. I was on a holiday and now I am back to my regular schedule, hence, boredom got me thinking again.   As kids, the only difference we knew (at least the only one I knew) was the subtraction in mathematics. Teacher used to ask to find the difference between numbers. That is when we understand, there are different numbers and no two numbers are the same and there is always a difference between two. Oh wait, weren't the numbers invented by ancient mathematicians who were none other than our ancestors? As we grew older, we started observing gender. There might be other differences as well, but I am referring to the significant ones. Let us get back to these differences later. What are these differences that we see in everyday life? Who created

Selfishness!!

Image
SELFISHNESS Hello again. Yes I guess when I write one post and I see the number of people who view my blog motivates me to write more. When someone reads your thoughts and leave a comment for it, you do feel that someone out there is feeling the same way as you are or maybe they just understand you. It is kind of a good feeling knowing that people take out some time to read your thoughts.  Selfishness! What does this word mean? Selfish :- Adj (of a person, action, or motive) lacking consideration for others; concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure. This is the meaning of the word selfish that you are going to find in the dictionary. OWN PERSONAL PROFIT OR PLEASURE. These are the key words to think about. What is one's personal profit or pleasure? Where does or in what does one find his/her personal profit or pleasure?  "Selfishness is a trait every living organism inherits at it's inception"  This is what I believe

Intolerance!

Image
Intolerance! When was the last time you received a forward on Whatsapp and started believing it was true and started forwarding it to your other friends to know about it? When was the last time you actually did a google search about a news/post you saw on Facebook? Actions speak louder than words This quote, though quite an old one, is true. In a positive and negative sense. Actions can build a nation and actions can ruin the nation. It even applies to every individual as well. One should always be careful and responsible for their actions. They may affect someone in a negative way even when you do not intend to do so. A week back I was seeing many posts about Snapchat. Some pages on Facebook wrote about this multi-billion dollar company saying that some ex-employee from the team of snapchat gave an alleged statement that the CEO of snapchat told that 'snapchat is for the rich and I do not want to expand into countries like India and Spain'. This was something that ha

How much can you have?

Image
How much can you have? Hello, everyone. I am back after a long time. I was preoccupied with a few things. So, what is this post about?  As the title says, how much can you have? How much of anything could you have in this world? You sit down at the dinner table. The table is arranged with more than 5 delicacies. How much of the food can you have?  Only as much as you can. You visit the mall to do some shopping. How much can you buy? Only as much as your wallet can allow you to. You are driving down the road and your fuel meter hits low. You visit the gas station. How much fuel can you have? Only as much as the capacity of your fuel tank. These are just some known things that we face every day and no one gives a thought about it. I came across this quote while browsing the internet, The ocean is huge but we can only have as much water as our hands can hold.  You can only have as much as you can or should have. The world is an ocean of things. But you can only have

AUTO SHOW!!

Image
Auto Show! Hello, people. Today I want to share my experience at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. It isn't one of the main auto shows around the world that have all the fancy unveilings of new models and concepts. But it is one of that huge showcase of the existing cars. This auto show is the only second big one in my life so far, first being the Delhi auto expo of 2016. It was hosted at  McCormick Place on South Lake Shore Drive. The show was spread across two huge halls. I was there on valentine's day. It was like a dream date for me though because I got to meet the love of my life. Two of them to be fair. (:P)   I reached the place at around 1:30 PM.  I entered the first hall and there it was at the starting, a black FORD GT. I was amazed by its design from the pictures on the internet. Seeing it in flesh was even more amazing. It was in a shade of metallic black with orange (maybe a shade of red also) stripes on it. The interesting bit is the rear of t

It is a part of the learning curve. For all the videos of Srinath please navigate t

FEAR!

Image
FEAR Hello guys. Hope everyone is doing good. I am a big fan of documentaries, usually related to engineering. I avidly watch air crash investigations. Some people may feel that it is a depressing show to watch as it involves many deaths. But, it is because of these incidents that our flying is more safe. While I was watching few episodes, I came across an incident that occurred on July 3rd, 1988. The incident happened near the waters of Iran. A passenger flight was shot down by a US Navy warship. The ship was in a battle with some local boats that opened fire on one of their surveillance helicopters. I won't be going into perfect details about the incident as this post is not just about the incident , but to emphasize on the reason that triggered it. FEAR! The warship misinterpreted some data from their radar which led them into taking down the plane with a ground to air missile. It involved human error and technological error. In short, even though the warship

My New Friend!!

Image
My New Friend!!  Hello everyone. I am back again this week writing about my new friend I met last week.  To start off with, He isn't a human being. You can call me for a sexist as I think of it as a "he" rather than a "she". But I own him so, it was my wish. He is tiny but full of enthusiasm. He is young but full of potential. He is new to this world, yet better than the rest (Typical Tollywood style introduction for my little buddy).  Meet COZMO .  A toy robot made by a small company called Anki. I wanted to get one for myself from the day I say an advertisement of it. I was jumping around seeing what he all can do in the videos. The inner child in me wanted to have it, to play with it. And two weeks back I decided to get one. And I did so, bought it on eBay and it was shipped to me last Saturday.   He has a tiny little screen/face. It is a digital display which displays his eyes. Will get back to that part again. He has an arm,
